One of the requests from our conversations in Gloucester Park was to have a tree trail, so people can learn more about the trees and plants that are in the park.
One of the volunteers who has been supporting our work in the park home schools her daughter and currently we are talking to her about the home school network helping us to map the trees in the park.
The young people will be photographing the trees and learning about the different types of trees and using a guide from the RHS Campaign for Schools website (https://schoolgardening.rhs.org.uk/Resources/Activity/How-tall-is-that-tree#) they are also going to learn how to measure the height of the trees.
