In 2020 we were asked by Stroud District Council to support the community of Forest Green in Stroud, by helping to start a Freezer of Love at the Arkell Centre. Freezers of Love were an initiative by The Long Table, who made nutritious frozen meals for community hubs and groups to distribute to people in their communities on a pay as you can basis.
Working with the Community Team from Forest Green Rovers and the Nailsworth Youth Club, we also added a community pantry.
Through this work we were also able to connect with others across Stroud District doing similar work and learnt about the wonderful work that was happening across the district and the county.
